Here we answer the questions we are asked most frequently. Should you have any further questions, we look forward to hearing from you.
We make a fundamental distinction based on frame design between open front presses (C-frame), double-sided presses (H-frame) and column presses (2- or 4-column design).
In addition, the machines can be categorized according to their specific application – for example as straightening presses, spotting presses, deep drawing presses, workshop presses or assembly presses.
Machines built before 1995 were manufactured before the mandatory introduction of the EU Machinery Directive and generally do not have CE marking.
As the operator, you bear full responsibility when purchasing the machine: before commissioning, the machine must undergo a risk assessment and be retrofitted in terms of safety technology (e.g. with two-hand controls or light curtains) in order to comply with the current requirements of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).
In addition, the condition of the hydraulic components, guides and control systems should be checked carefully in advance in order to avoid expensive follow-up investments.
A hydraulic press works according to the hydrostatic principle: an electric motor drives a hydraulic pump, which conveys oil into the press cylinder. The oil pressure generated acts on the piston surface of the cylinder, producing a force that is proportional to the system pressure and piston area.
