Double-sided presses

The double-sided press in robust H-frame design impresses with its closed and particularly torsion-resistant construction. Thanks to its high stability and precision, it is ideal for demanding forming and joining processes with high forces.

Typical applications for the hydraulic double-sided press include heavy cold forming, large-area bending, deep drawing, embossing and complex joining processes on large components. The uniform force distribution ensures reproducible results and reliable process safety.

The H-frame press offers very low deflection, excellent guiding properties and safe absorption of tilting moments. Depending on the requirements, the series are available with one or two cylinders.

More than standard
– developed for your requirements

Each hydraulic press is developed and manufactured specifically for the requirements of the respective application. Technical parameters such as pressing force, stroke, installation height, output and dimensions therefore vary depending on the application.

In addition to the usual standardization, the focus is on the precise design of all components for the respective process. This results in technically sophisticated press systems that meet the highest requirements for performance, precision and process reliability.

  • Stability & precision: The torsion-resistant design ensures minimal deflection as well as maximum stability and precise results – even at high pressing forces.
  • Uniform force distribution: The design of the double-sided press ensures uniform force transmission across the entire working area.
  • High process safety: Thanks to the safe absorption of tilting moments and excellent guiding properties, the H-frame press is ideal for demanding applications.

Your questions,

Here we answer the questions we are asked most frequently.
Should you have any further questions, we look forward to hearing from you.

Double-sided presses (H-frame presses) offer maximum torsional rigidity and precision, even at very high forces, thanks to their closed frame. They absorb eccentric loads and transverse forces excellently. The robust flat or prism guides are also extremely low-wear and can be easily readjusted and maintained when required.

Due to the closed frame, access to the working area is usually limited to the front and rear. In addition, the massive, heavy steel construction results in a higher transport weight and usually a higher purchase price compared to open systems.

Yes, absolutely. Due to their symmetrical force distribution and high tolerance to transverse forces, they are commonly used in fully automated press lines, with robot loading or with progressive dies for the automated processing of coil material.
